Prisoner escapes from hospital, caught

A remand prisoner, who is undergoing treatment at the Government General Hospital here, escaped on Thursday night giving the slip to the escort police. The police registered an attempt to murder case against Srinivasulu of Pidathapoluru in Muthukur mandal for attacking his wife on 27 of last month and he has been under judicial custody.
Nellore: A remand prisoner, who is undergoing treatment at the Government General Hospital here, escaped on Thursday night giving the slip to the escort police. The police registered an attempt to murder case against Srinivasulu of Pidathapoluru in Muthukur mandal for attacking his wife on 27 of last month and he has been under judicial custody. The central jail authorities shifted him to hospital for treatment on Wednesday when he complained of ill-health. He escaped from the hospital on Thursday. The police launched a manhunt for to nab the prisoner. He was caught at his native village on Friday evening.
