Skills crucial for employability
American Progressive Telugu Association(APTA) conducted a workshop on \'Career Planning\' in the Sri Krishnadevaraya University(SKU) campus here on Saturday. Participating in the workshop as the chief guest, SKU Rector H Lajapathi Rai said that there are bright prospects for engineering jobs in the country but employability is the key factor.

Participating in the workshop as the chief guest, SKU Rector H Lajapathi Rai said that there are bright prospects for engineering jobs in the country but employability is the key factor.
Of all those who pass out from colleges only 10 to 15 percent of students have the necessary skills for employment while others are poor in skills and not employable in the industry. He said that engineering colleges should apply their mind on skill development of their students.
APTA national director Ramesh addressing the students said that APTA will help skilled students to get jobs in America. It will also help merit students to study in the USA. SKU Engineering College principal Prof K Raghavendra also spoke.
