Kurnool: YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday has appealed to voters to fight unitedly against the TDP led corrupt government. Continuing his campaigning at Nandyal, Jagan said that several benefits that were extended to the poor by the earlier government were diluted by the ruling TDP government.

Naidu has made several promises including waiving of loans to Self-Help-Groups, farmers and gold loans. But in his three-and-half years rule nothing sort of that was done by him, he alleged.

Naidu also assured that he will construct a house in an extent of 3 cents to every poor and will distribute land but he has not fulfilled anyone of them, Jagan said.

Instead of enhancing pensions, Naidu has cut down the earlier sanctioned pensions to 15,000 from 21,800. Even the poor were not being extended provisions, he alleged. The Chief Minister also vowed that he would pay unemployment arrears of Rs 2,000 each of a family member. With this assurance, Naidu has to pay Rs 76,000 to each unemployed, Jagan said.

Naidu also promised that the farmers’ loans calculating to Rs 87, 612 crore would be waived unconditionally and also said that he will take pains to see that their mortgaged gold would reach them. But he did nothing to them, alleged Jagan.

He said that with these kind of false promises, Naidu was once again seeking support to his government so that he could cheat the people in future too. In view of his cunning nature, he appealed to voters to strengthen the candidature of Silpa Mohan Reddy.

He said, “You are not voting to Shilpa Mohan Reddy. You are voting against the corrupt government. This byelection is a battle between justice and injustice.” He said the golden era was waiting ahead and they must welcome it with their valuable votes. So be wise enough to cast your votes, said Jaganmohan Reddy.
