The Second Additional Civil Judge issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday for not attending the court.
Visakhapatnam: The Second Additional Civil Judge issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday for not attending the court.
The Minister was charged with violation of election code during 2009 general elections. Srinivasa Rao contested for Anakapalle Assembly constituency under the newly formed Praja Rajyam Party.
It was alleged that Srinivasa Rao distributed cricket kits to the local youth to motivate them to vote for him. Subsequently a case was filed but Srinivasa Rao never attended the court.The judge issued the warrant and posted the case for September 11.
