Visakhapatnam: The state government allotted two floors to Patra India BPO Services Private Limited at Cyber Towers after the company assured the government that it would give 1,000 jobs at its expansion unit. The Patra Corporation, headquarters at Northern California, the US, has chosen Visakhapatnam for its subsidiary Patra India BPO Services, which was established a decade ago in the city. At present 1,500 employees are working in the unit.

CEO of Patra Corporation John Simpson met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and explained the company’s expansion plans to the Chief Minister during his visit in Visakhapatnam. The CEO informed the Chief Minister that over 1,000 employees would be given jobs in the expansion plans.

On the request of the company, Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh directed the officials to allot two floors in the Cyber Towers for the Patra India BPO Services. Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of Patra India BPO Services Lakshmi Mukkavalli said that the company is planning to start the operations as soon as the facility gets ready. She thanked the Chief Minister and IT Minister for their immediate response.
