Malladi Sriram Prasad and Ravikumar had their musical training from Nedunuri Krishana Murthy and also had an opportunity to learn rare compositions from ‘Padma Bhushan’ Dr Sripada Pinakapani. These brothers started their career in 1990 and received many awards. With rich experience, perfect sruthi, presentation of melodious concerts, they became very popular in the present musical generation.

The brothers commenced their concert with ‘varnam’ in Asaveri ragam and continued the krithi of Deekshitar ‘Himagiri Kumari’ in Raghupriya ragam. They received applause for each and every keerthana. They presented the Saint Thyagaraja swamy composition ‘Raksha Besare’ in Bhiravi ragam, ‘Kotinadalu’ in Todi ragam. The brothers rendered the rare composition from Adhyatma Ramanya written by Munipalle Subrahmanya Kavi in Begada ragam.

The concert concluded with ‘Thillana’ in Pahadi ragam. Excellent instrumental support rendered by Mavuduri Satyanarayana Sarma (Srikskulam) on violin, Sai Giridhar (Chennai) on Mridangam and Saraswathula Hanumantha Rao (Tadepalligudem) on Ghatam.

In a meeting Dr. Kamineni Srinivas, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh said that the youth should take part in these creative arts to overcome their day to day stress. He also expressed his concern about the youth because of their lack of interest in fine arts. Dr M Gopichand, Modumudi Sudhakar were also present on the dais. CV Rao Secretary of the organisation conducted the programme.
