Former Chittoor MLA and YSRCP senior leader CK Babu has categorically declared that he was going to take active role in the party with an ambition to contest as YSRCP candidate from Chittoor Assembly constituency in the upcoming elections.

The simmering indifferences in Chittoor YSRCP have flared up with BAbu’s announcement, who defected to YSRCP in the last Assembly elections from the Congress and made futile efforts to get YSRCP ticket for Chittoor seat in 2014 general elections.
Chittoor YSRCP convenor J Srinivasulu, who unsuccessfully contested from Chittoor seat in the last Assembly election is said the most probable candidate to be fielded in the next election.
Though Babu joined YSRCP three and half years back he did not take part in any party programme. Now, Babu has come out deliberately that he is the successor of YSR’s legacy. It may be recalled here that CK Babu used to maintain close relations with then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. But it is evident that YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy did not show any interest to avail the services of Babu in the last three years.
The YSRCP has made landslide victory in the elections winning eight seats out of 14 assembly segments. N Amaranath Reddy, who won from Palamaner on YSRCP ticket had defected to TDP recently. It may be stated here that CK Babu organised a mammoth rally at Chittoor on Saturday on the eve of YSR’s death anniversary and paid floral tributes. Speaking to media here, Babu has strongly criticised the TDP government for its failure to develop Chittoor city in any form.
“Demolishing the Gandhi statue, Indian Red Cross Society Building, Municipal shopping complexes and others were only the achievement of TDP in the last three and half years. YSRCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy will become the next CM and will take steps for developing Chittoor a role model,” he said.
Chittoor YSRCP convenor Srinvasulu said CK Babu became incompetent to deliver the goods and Jaganmohan Reddy would not entertain such leaders in the next elections. He recalled that he was elected as Chittoor MLA for four times earlier. The voters of Chittoor are now repenting for casting vote to TDP in the last elections, he added. CK Lavanya, senior YSRCP leader of Chittoor, said CK Babu would be official nominee of YSRCP in the next elections in the backdrop of support from all the YSRCP legislators and the fans of YSR.
As Chittoor YSRCP convenor Srinivasulu is seriously aspiring for ticket in the next elections, CK Babu surprisingly came on the scene claiming his candidature for Chittoor seat. At this juncture, Jaganmohan Reddy is said to be the only person for resolving the crisis in the party.
