Teachers and students paid floral tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second president, a great scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna recipient, to mark his 129th birth anniversary.
Guntur: Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology & VIVA-the School by VVIT celebrated the Teacher’s Day on a grand scale, said Chairman of VVIT Vasireddy Vidya Sagar. KoruKonda Sainik School teacher T Lakshmi Kumari was the chief guest and Dean of Koneru Lakshmaiah University A Radhakrishna graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
Teachers and students paid floral tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second president, a great scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna recipient, to mark his 129th birth anniversary.
While addressing the students, A Radhakrishna advised the teachers to maintain discipline, dedication and devotion in their profession. He said that teachers are respected for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the future of the students. T Lakshmi Kumari wished the teachers and congratulated all the students to be successful in their future endeavors.
Chairman of VIVA-VVIT Sagar, Joint Secretary M Sree Krishna, along with principals and all teachers, felicitated the distinguished guests. VVIT Principal DrY Mallikarjuna Reddy, VIVA-Principal Dr CT Joshi, VIVA Director retd V Ravishankar, teachers of VVIT and VIVA-the school by VVIT, students participated in the programme.
