  • Party leaders to put in efforts to build the party right from booth-level
  • Training to be imparted to booth-level leaders
  • Amit Shah likely to visit Vijayawada next month

Requesting anonymity, a State level leader of BJP revealed the highlights of the meeting. He said, “As there are two strong parties in the State, we discussed how to strengthen BJP right from the booth level. Being in alliance with the ruling party here, we have decided not to force TDP into a complex situation. But as a national level party, we also want to strengthen the party right from the booth level. We want to form booth level committees including representation from SC, ST, BC and minorities.”

These booth level committees will be trained at their Assembly constituency level during the last week of October or first week of November. “On the other hand, we want to concentrate on winning MP seats from the State. We have decided to provide wide publicity to the BJP-led Central government schemes and funds received from the Union government.”

He said pamphlets would be published explaining the development activities executed in the State under various Central government schemes. The party leader said,” We were asked to make Amit Shah’s tour of Vijayawada in October a grand success.”

Kambhampati Haribabu, State BJP president said, “The national executive committee meeting is scheduled on September 24 and 25 in New Delhi. The year-long birth centenary celebrations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay will come to an end by that time. Apart from discussing the issues for the meet, we are going to observe Seva Diwas from September 15 to October 2 and take part in Swachh Bharat programmes in public places all over the State.

We are going to conduct Arogya Seva camps in slum areas, plant saplings and increase greenery in the State.” Ministers Kamineni Srinivas, P Manikyala Rao, former Union Ministers D Purandeswari, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, MLC Somu Veerraju, former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana and other leaders attended the meet.
