Lok Satta founder president Jaya Prakash Narayan will take up the ‘Swaraj Yatra’ in the two Telugu States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from September 15 in an attempt to help solve the problems facing the youth, middle classes, Dalits and other marginalised sections of the society through discussions.

Hyderabad: Lok Satta founder president Jaya Prakash Narayan will take up the ‘Swaraj Yatra’ in the two Telugu States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from September 15 in an attempt to help solve the problems facing the youth, middle classes, Dalits and other marginalised sections of the society through discussions.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Jaya Prakash Narayan said that he would undertake a tour in both the States to acquaint himself of the problems faced by the people there. He called up on the people irrespective of the party lines to join and discuss their problems with him.  

The Lok Satta founder launched two web based platforms for this including ‘Youth for Better India’ and ‘Citizens for Better India’. He urged people to join the program as partners in finding solutions to problems of the society and said that he expected lakhs of people to join him. He launched website www.youthforbetterindia.com and urged the people to join the campaign.

Jaya Prakash Narayan said that the society needs changes in many aspects and his organisation Lok Satta has been taking up these issues. “First of all, people should get their work done in government office without offering bribes. Everyone should be provided with educational opportunities, medical and health facilities. Besides, administration should be decentralised,” he added

He said that he would start his yatra in Andhra Pradesh on September 15 in Visakhapatnam and spend three to four days in every district interacting with the people.
