Expert medical care in emergency for devotees
Whether it is heart attack, trauma, or other emergencies, providing timely and seamless care by experts is the need of the hour. The SVIMS will enable expert medical care delivered on site, when in need for the devotees from all over country, who will visit Tirumala during Brahmotsavams, said the Director and Vice-Chancellor of the institute said.

The SVIMS will enable expert medical care delivered on site, when in need for the devotees from all over country, who will visit Tirumala during Brahmotsavams, said the Director and Vice-Chancellor of the institute said.
Dr Ravi Kumar instructed all the faculty, post graduates and nurses about the process to be followed for this advanced telemedicine approach. In addition to deploying SVIMS doctors, nurses, students and paramedical staff at various locations during this mega event.
He visited Ashwini and Apollo Hospitals in Tirumala along with Dr N Vikas, SVIMS RMO and other doctors to establish and test real time telepresence connectivity with SVIMS emergency room. They also met the technical experts at command control centre to seek best in practice during emergency situations.
If someone has a cardiac emergency, an ECG on site can be read by cardiologist at Ashwini Hospital and appropriate treatment rendered on site as well as during shifting to the hospital. If the condition is serious, resuscitation will be started at Ashwini/Apollo Hospitals with real time transmission of information to SVIMS emergency room/cathlab during transfer of patient, said the Director.
