Singanamala farmers stage stir for water
Hundreds of farmers staged a dharna at the vicinity of the Collectorate here on Monday, demanding water allocation to their constituency for drinking water and irrigation purpose. The CPM Rythu Coolie Sangam organised the dharna in support of the farmers.
Anantapur: Hundreds of farmers staged a dharna at the vicinity of the Collectorate here on Monday, demanding water allocation to their constituency for drinking water and irrigation purpose. The CPM Rythu Coolie Sangam organised the dharna in support of the farmers.
Farmers demanded that the Collector should release water to all the 25 distributaries under the MPR North Canal. These distributaries cater to the water requirements of Garladinne, Narpala and Singanamala region under the Singanamala Assembly constituency.
