Nellore: The district police organised a session for the police personnel on heart diseases and the preventive measures here on Tuesday. Cardiologist Dr B Phani Krishna explained about the functioning of heart and the work-related pressures and other issues that lead to diseases through a powerpoint presentation. He advised police personnel to keep blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol under control.

The doctor asked them to keep themselves away from alcohol, smoking and other bad habits that significantly affect health condition. He said all police personnel should walk or do exercises for one hour in the morning and follow healthy food habits to prevent heart related diseases.

Additional SP (AR) Veerabhadrudu said these preventive measures are very much useful for the personnel, who normally discharge duties irrespective of working hours. Reserve Inspector Srinivasa Rao, and other senior officials were also present.
