The government sanctioned Rs 100 crore to give a facelift to beach from Coastal Battery to Rushikonda. The district administration has been preparing a detailed project report in this regard. With the help of the funds, the entire beach covering the city limits would be get a makeover with more attractions, said Collector Pravin Kumar.

The district administration has been preparing a detailed project report in this regard. With the help of the funds, the entire beach covering the city limits would be get a makeover with more attractions, said Collector Pravin Kumar.

The Collector visited the Beach Road to review the arrangements for the Ananda Deepavali programme in which Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will participate. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector recollected his experiences after HudHud cyclone.

Though the devastation was very big, the entire government stayed in the city and re-developed the city within no time. The State and Central governments sanctioned Rs 3,300 crore for the revival of all the systems. Erecting of one lakh LED street lights and underground power cable project and other works were taken up after the HudHud cyclone, he added.
