He said the Central government has sanctioned its share of Rs 55 crore for construction of the centre.He was reviewing on policy guidelines on the State Cancer Centre with Tata Trust members at Hotel Mourya Inn on Monday. He said the Centre will be set up with sophisticated technology on a five-acre site on the premises of the Government Sarvajana Hospital.

He appreciated the efforts of noted surgical oncologist and alumnus of Kurnool Medical College (KMC) Dr Jagannatham, who has been serving as advisor to Tata Trust.

KMC Principal Dr Ram Prasad, Hospital Supervisor Dr Chandrasekhar, Tata Trust members Dr Kashi Srinivas, Dr Ahmed, Mrunalini and others were present in the review meeting.
