Amaravati: The Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is to announce three special schemes for Non Resident Telugus in Dubai on Saturday. They include a Pravasandhra Helpline (APNRT 24/7) for Non Resident Telugu community to provide speedy relief during crisis situations, Pravasandhra Bharosa (APNRT Insurance) Scheme for the AP Non Resident Telugu community and .

Pravasandhra Sahaya Nidhi (APNRT Emergency Relief Fund) to assist the NRTs during crisis, on merit basis, informed D.V. Rao, OSD to Advisor NRT Affairs and Investments to this correspondent.

The Pravasandhra Helpline will be a dedicated helpline established to assist the APNRTs during crisis like accident at workplace abroad, problems with employers in overseas, harassment by recruitment agents in foreign country, students problems with colleges or universities abroad or to provide counselling or guidance to deal with distress situations abroad.

The Pravasandhra Bharosa scheme is aimed to provide insurance to the APNRTs abroad during accidental death or permanent disability. It also covers hospital expenditure, maternity related expenses and any litigation relating to employment or education abroad.

The Pravasandhra Sahaya Nidhi scheme is aimed to provide assistance to the NRTs abroad for safe return during the crisis situations. Through this scheme the government would assist the NRTs to boarding and lodging for distressed NRTs prior to departure and on arrival.

It also helps in initial legal assistance to NRTs in deserving cases apart from providing expenditure on incidentals. It provides payment of penalties for NRTs for illegal stay when prima facie the worker is not at fault or for release of NRTs in jail/detention centres.
