YSR Congress leader Vidyasagar Reddy and his mother Dhanamma were killed in a road accident on Saturday morning.
The mishap occurred at Maredupalli in Tavanampalli Mandal of Chittoor district when the car they were travelling in rammed into a culvert. Both died immediately on the spot and four others of the family sustained severe injuries.
The vehicle was heading towards Bengaluru from Kanipakam when the tragedy struck. The injured were rushed to Rayavellore hospital for treatment. Police registered a case and investigation is under way.
