A 50-year-old woman died in a tragic road accident when an RTC bus plunged into a canal in the early hours of Monday. The incident occurred when the bus was heading to Rajahmundry from Kakinada.
13 others sustained serious injuries and were admitted to nearby hospital.
Locals informed that the accident took place due to rash driving by the bus driver.
However, the bus driver stated that he steered the wheel towards canal in order to avoid collision with the lorry coming in the opposite direction.
