5 cr for kitchen sheds construction
District Collector K Bhaskar said that 330 kitchen sheds would be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore in West Godavari district. He reviewed the educational progress at a meeting held here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the permission for the construction of 330 kitchen sheds was accorded and the officials should complete the target within the stipulated time. He stated that already 652 kitchen sheds are being constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
He directed the officials to construct compound walls, laboratory, toilets, and provide furniture, drinking water to the schools as the government has decided to transform the government schools on par with the corporate schools.
He said that so far 136 schools have been equipped with digital classrooms and directed the officials to set up another 308 digital classrooms in the remaining schools. He also directed them to discuss with the village elders and philanthropists to donate Rs 45,000 for digital classroom.
The setting up of the digital classrooms in all high schools should be completed by January next year, he directed. District Educational Officer RS Ganga Bhavani, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) Project Officer K Brahmananda Reddy and others participated in the review meeting.
