A two-day CSI Andhra Pradesh State Students Convention 2017-18, jointly organised by Computer Society of India, GITAM Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GITAM Institute of Technology, was inaugurated on Friday by Director of Control RS Prasada Rao. 

Visakhapatnam: A two-day CSI Andhra Pradesh State Students Convention 2017-18, jointly organised by Computer Society of India, GITAM Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GITAM Institute of Technology, was inaugurated on Friday by Director of Control RS Prasada Rao.

Delivering the keynote address Prasada Rao said that intelligent analysis is injection for emotional immunity and he emphasised on the importance of digitisation in the present scenario. He outlined four keywords for the success of digitisation, availability, reliability, scalability and security.

Principal and Dean, GITAM Institute of Technology K Lakshmi Prasad presided over the programme. CSI Secretary, CSI Vizag Chapter Anindya Paul, CSI Treasurer P Balaramu, CSI State Student Coordinator PENS Krishna Prasad, CSE Department Head PV Nageswara Rao, Faculty Advisor, CSI GITAM Student Branch R Sireesha, Faculty Coordinator, CSI GITAM Student Branch K Neelima Santoshi and President, CSI GITAM Students Branch K Vinay along with various participants from across the state were present.

President, CSI GITAM Student Branch Vinay briefed the audience about CSI GITAM Student Branch and its proceedings about the convention. Nageswara Rao gave an account of evolution of computer science to its present state. On the occasion, RS Prasad Rao was felicitated by the Principal and the other dignitaries were presented with mementos.
