Focus on sanitation, MPDOs told
State Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Commissioner B Ramanjaneyulu has directed MPDOs to inspect the villages frequently for up keep of sanitation and also to create awareness about sanitation among rural people. He addressed the MPDOs, who took part in one-day training programme at SPMVV here on Friday.

He addressed the MPDOs, who took part in one-day training programme at SPMVV here on Friday.
The Commissioner said MPDOs are responsible for development of the villages. He informed them that the State government is keen on constructing the houses for poor and maintenance of sanitation in villages. He stated that biometric attendance and e-file system is mandatory for MPDOs.
District Collector PS Pradyumna has instructed the officials to improve the greenery in every village and mandal headquarters. He instructed them to focus on constructing individual toilets in villages as part of the Swachh Bharat.
He suggested MPDOs to create awareness in villages about National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). The Collector expressed dissatisfaction over less number of villagers registering their names for NREGS works. MPDOs from 66 mandals in the district have attended the
one-day training programme.
