Vijayawada: Manipal Hospitals, Vijayawada organised 2nd Annual Hemato-Oncology Continued Medical Education 2017 with the theme ‘The Story of Blood- Back to the Basics’ here on Monday. The CME began with an exciting and intriguing quiz competition organised for general medicine and postgraduate students from across the state. Dr Y V S Prabhakar, Dr K Satyanarayana and Dr G Eshwar chaired the event.

Dr Krishna Reddy, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Transplant Physician, Manipal Hospitals, Vijayawada, said: “We have treated hundreds of pediatric blood cancer patients and have even performed a sizable number of stem cell transplants with a zero percent mortality rate.

Our major emphasis has been making affordable and accessible health care available to all sections of society.” Dr Madhav Danthala, Associate Consultant Medical Oncologist, Manipal Hospitals, Vijayawada, Dr P Anoop, Consultant Hematologist and Transplant Physician, Apollo Hospitals, Bengaluru, Dr A Satish Kumar, Consultant Hematologist and Transplant Physician, Columbia Asia Hospital, Bengaluru, Dr Padmaja Lokireddy, Consultant Hematologist and Transplant Physician, Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad and Dr S G Ramanan, Consultant Medical Oncologist, Kumaran Hospital and Apollo Specialty Hospital, Chennai graced the occasion.
