Mudigubba (Anantapur): YSRCP supremo Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has observed that the massive response to his 'Padayatra' in a district which gave 12 out of 14 MLAs to the ruling party is an indication of the growing restlessness among the people against Chief Minister Naidu's style of governance.

Addressing a largely attended public meeting on Monday in the village which comes under the Raptadu constituency of Minister Paritala Sunitha, Jaganmohan Reddy after meeting several members of Muslim minority community, said that late YSR had given 4 per cent reservation to Muslims. He regretted that Chandrababu Naidu had not given a single berth to Muslims in his Cabinet.

He described the scholarships being given to the medical and engineering students as a pittance. When students were paying lakhs of rupees as tuition fees, the government was giving a pittance of Rs 30,000 or so, he pointed out.

If YSRCP is voted to power, total fee for engineering and medical courses will be borne by the government, he assured. His government would also take care of all medical expenses beyond Rs 1000 under the Arogya Sri scheme.

He pointed out that post bifurcation, all the best hospitals remained geographically located in Telangana and the AP government was not allowing treatment in Hyderabad and the government was declining to pay bills to hospitals in Hyderabad. If YSRCP is voted to power, it would allow treatment in the best hospitals in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
