Andhra team scores 253 runs
The four-day Cooch Behar Trophy match between Andhra and Assam teams was started at the Prakasam District Cricket Association Ground at CSR Sarma College here on Sunday.

The CSR Sarma College ground, which is known as the best ground in coastal districts for Andhra Cricket Association, already hosted four Ranji matches and getting ready for Under-19 Inter-State Tournament.
On Sunday, the match was started at 9.30 am when Assam won the toss and elected to field. The Andhra team was all out in the first innings for 253 runs in 62.4 overs. KN Pruthvi Raj scored 64 runs not out in 88 balls with eight fours and one six. Muktar Hussain of Assam took four wickets for 90 runs.
In the first innings, Assam lost six wickets for 28 runs in 20 overs before stumps on day one. P Girinath Reddy of Andhra team did the magic and took four wickets by giving eight runs.
