The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to promote Tourism in the state in an aggressive manner. As per the latest sources, we have come to know that the state government has shortlisted 13 firms in the tourism sector to set up their ventures in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to promote Tourism in the state in an aggressive manner. As per the latest sources, we have come to know that the state government has shortlisted 13 firms in the tourism sector to set up their ventures in Andhra Pradesh. The worth of each project is from 20 crore rupees to Rs 200 crore rupees. The firms from the neighbouring countries like Nepal is also showing interest to set up shops.
The projects that are planned in the state include theme parks, resorts, go-karting tracks, five-star hotels and amusement parks. The interesting reason for the firms showing interest in the city is the excellent air, rail and road connectivity. A lot of proposals have come in the discussion but the authorities have finally zeroed in on 13 firms after final scrutinisation.
The state's Tourism minister B Akhila Priya is likely to announce the names of the shortlisted firms at a formal meeting next week in Vijayawada on December 22nd. The government would allocate land to the firms but the firms would have to pay 5% of the land value as a lease amount to the government per year.
