Elaborate arrangements were made for the devotees who would be participating in Goddess ‘Kanaka Mahalaxmi Deeksha Viramana’ of Burujupeta Kanaka Mahalaxmi Devasthanam in Visakhapatnam, said executive officer SJ Madhavi here on Sunday.
Visakhapatnam: Elaborate arrangements were made for the devotees who would be participating in Goddess ‘Kanaka Mahalaxmi Deeksha Viramana’ of Burujupeta Kanaka Mahalaxmi Devasthanam in Visakhapatnam, said executive officer SJ Madhavi here on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, Madhavi said that the devasthanam has introduced the ‘Deeksha’ and organised it successfully in the month of Margasira. Thousands of devotees took the ‘Deeksha’ and were offering special prayers in the temple for the last 41 days and it would be concluded on Monday, the last day of ‘Margasira Masam’, she added.
The temple priests decked up Goddess in the shape of Sri Maha Laxmi Devi with huge gold ornaments of devastanam. The devotees thronged the temple for darshan of Goddess Mahalaxmi. The Indian cricket team selector MSK Prasad visited the temple and had a special darshan. The devasthanam also conducted a seminar in the temple with noted scholars, said the executive officer.
