Marking its 157th Foundation Day, Mrs AVN College will organise several events as part of celebrations on Dec 22 and 23, said Principal Dr E Annapurna.
Visakhapatnam: Marking its 157th Foundation Day, Mrs AVN College will organise several events as part of celebrations on Dec 22 and 23, said Principal Dr E Annapurna. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, she said as part of Foundation Day celebrations on December 22, several competitions and cultural programmes would be organised for students. Apart from this, the prizes would be given to the winners in competitions, sports and merit awards, too, would be handed over to outstanding students in academics.
On December 23, the main programme would begin at 10 am on the premises of the college campus. District Collector and Mrs AVN College Chairman Pravin Kumar would take part. Steel Plant CMD P Madhusudhan would be the chief guest. HPCL Manager Narisetty Raja Rao, IOC Deputy General Manager Ashok Kumar Naik and others would attend the programme.
College Vice-Principals Madhusudhan Rao and DV Prabhakar, NCC Officer N Ramakrishna attended. The 157-year-old college is not only housed in a heritage building but produced several towering personalities like Nobel laureate CV Raman, revolutionary leader Alluri Sitarama Raju, freedom fighter Tenneti Viswanatham and former Mayor DV Subba Rao.
