MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji) said 12,000 houses would be constructed for the eligible families in Eluru city. He participated in the fifth phase ‘Janmabhoomi-Maa Vuru’ programme held in 50th division in the city on Tuesday.  Speaking at the meeting, he said that under Urban Housing Scheme, these houses would be constructed for the poor.

Eluru: MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji) said 12,000 houses would be constructed for the eligible families in Eluru city. He participated in the fifth phase ‘Janmabhoomi-Maa Vuru’ programme held in 50th division in the city on Tuesday. Speaking at the meeting, he said that under Urban Housing Scheme, these houses would be constructed for the poor.

During last three-and-a-half years, the Government sanctioned Rs 5 crore under Chief Minister Relief Fund to the poor people who underwent treatment in private hospitals. A Marriage hall would be constructed in the division with Rs 40 lakh for the people to perform marriages and other functions.

Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan said pensions to 160 eligible people in the 50th division would be given from February. MLA and Mayor distributed Chandranna Bheema bonds and Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka to the poor in the meeting.

MLC Ramu Surya Rao, Janmabhoomi Special Officer Karuna Kumari, Corporator Yellapu Satyavati, Municipal Corporation Cooption member SMR Pedababu, Deputy Mayor Nayudu Pothuraju, Municipal Commissioner A Mohan Rao and Mandal Tahsildar Chandrasekhar participated.
