New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir on Wednesday said that the Centre had not extended any financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh state for setting up additional operational hubs.

The Minister also pointed out that the distribution of personnel of Greyhounds and Octopus were already carried out.

The Minister was responding to a starred question raised by Rajya Sabha Member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao in the parliament. As per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the training centres that were located in Hyderabad had become exclusive for Telangana on June 2, 2017 after bifurcation.

Training centres had not yet been set up in Andhra Pradesh. For Greyhound, the state had only a Greyhounds operational hub in Visakhapatnam, he said in his reply
