Kurnool: District Collector S Satyanarayana said that they have successfully completed the ‘Janmabhoomi – Maa vooru programme’ in the district. He said that the Janmabhoomi programme was organised in 889 gram panchayats and 270 municipal divisions in the district.
Addressing the media at his camp office here on Friday, the District Collector said that several representations have been received during ‘Janmabhoomi’ programme and they have been resolved immediately.
Except in Pudur village of Kurnool mandal, Janmabhoomi was organised successfully in almost all the gram panchayats. The Collector said that the Nandyal mandal has been selected as one of the excellent mandals in organising Janmabhoomi at state level and the 42nd division in Nandyal municipality as best in state.
Even, the Kamalapuri gram panchayat in Sanjamala mandal was also listed in the excellent panchayat list in state-level. Satyanarayana said that 1.29 lakh representations have been received from the people during the Janmabhoomi programme.
The District Collector said that they also organised medical camps for the livestock, in which medical check-ups were done to 76,290 animals. Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh, Chief Planning Officer Anand Naik and other officials were also present.
