Kanuma Mahotsavam performed on a grand note
The Kanuma Mahotsavam of Lord Sri Venkateswara of Dwaraka Tirumala performed with festive fervour at Dorasanipadu village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal.The priests decorated Lord Sri Venkateswara and Goddesses at the temple Mukha Mandapam in Dwaraka Tirumala and placed on the Rajadhiraja Vahanam.
Dwaraka Tirumala: The Kanuma Mahotsavam of Lord Sri Venkateswara of Dwaraka Tirumala performed with festive fervour at Dorasanipadu village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal.The priests decorated Lord Sri Venkateswara and Goddesses at the temple Mukha Mandapam in Dwaraka Tirumala and placed on the Rajadhiraja Vahanam.
Later, they performed special prayers. The Kanuma Mandapam was decorated with electrical lighting at Dorasanipadu. The devotees chanted “Govinda” to offer their prayers to the Lord. The temple priests and people took out Sridevi, Bhudevi Sametha Srinivasa in a procession to Kanuma Mandapam in Dorasanipadu village. The procession called Gramotsav was witnessed by hundreds of devotees.
Kolatam and other cultural programmes also performed during the procession. The temple priests and Vedic Pundits performed Harathi to the Lord Srinivasa. After the Harathi, priests performed the Visesha Puja with Vedic chants.
The Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam Executive Officer, Vendra Trinadha Rao and his wife attended the Kanuma Mahotsavam and offered special prayers to the lord.
