DRM Waltair XI wins T20 match
The DRM Waltair XI of East Coast Railway won T20 cricket match defeating the CMD XI of RINL with six wickets. A friendly T20 cricket match was played between RINL and ECo Railway here at the Col C K Nayudu Stadium, Ukkunagaram, on Sunday.
Visakhapatnam: The DRM Waltair XI of East Coast Railway won T20 cricket match defeating the CMD XI of RINL with six wickets. A friendly T20 cricket match was played between RINL and ECo Railway here at the Col C K Nayudu Stadium, Ukkunagaram, on Sunday.
The RINL elected to bat first and scored 145 runs for four wickets. Chasing the good score registered by Vizag Steel, the DRM Waltair XI team successfully scored 146 runs in 19 overs losing four wickets. Captain of team Divisional Railway Manager MS Mathur scored 41 in 52 balls and he received Man of the Match award.
The DRM Waltair XI players dominated in all areas. NM Singh scored 54 runs in 42 balls and Yelvendra Yadav scored 27 runs (not out) in 12 balls. Ashish Kumar Gaur bowled economically and took two wickets for 20 runs in three overs. Best batsman award was bagged by NM Singh, best bowler award was given to Ashish Kumar Gaur and best fielder award won by AP Naveen Kumar.
The RINL-XI player E Srinivas scored 45 runs in 25 balls and Ashish Kumar Gaur scored 41 runs in 26 balls. Dr Mahesh Kumar bowled and conceded two wickets for 21 runs in three overs. CMD of RINL P Madhusudan, directors PC Mahapatra, P Raychaudhury, Kishore Chandra Das, VV Venu Gopal Rao and PK Rath were present.
