Eluru District Armed Reserve stands first in police sports & games meet
The West Godavari District Police Sports and Games Meet -2018 concluded on Monday at Police parade grounds here. In the track and field events, the District Armed Reserve (Eluru) (DAR) has stood in first place in 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters run in the individual events. DAR athlete V Gangadhar won the first place by completing 200 meters in 25.66 seconds.

While A Srinivasa Rao of DAR stood second place completing the distance in 26.50 seconds in 400 meters run, constable A Srinivasa Rao from DAR, Eluru bagged 1st place in 1.02 minutes. Followed by DK Mandela of JRG sub-division in1.03 mnts and reserve inspector (AR) K Venkatrao of DAR, Eluru stood in 3rd place in 1.09 seconds.
The 800 meters run was won by the DAR, Eluru team in first and second places. The Kovvur sub division constable A Basha stood in third place. In 1,500 meters run, Jangareddiguydem division constable M Prasad stood in first place completing the run in 5.19 minutes. The other constable TN Lakshman Rao from Kovvuru sub division got 2nd place by completing the run in 5.20 minutes.
Jangareddigudem subdivision constable N Krishna stood in 3rd place by completing the run in 5.26 minutes. In 5,000 meters run, Jangareddygudem constables N Krishna won the first place in 21.15 minutes and M Prasad stood in 2nd place by reaching in 22.23 minutes. The Narsapur sub-division constable K Nagendra stood in 3rd place in 23.05 minutes. In the other events also DAR, Eluru shown the best performance.
SP M Ravi Prakash distributed prizes and medals to individual winners and team winners at a function conducted in police parade grounds. District Additional SP V Ratna, Trainee IPS Rishanth Reddy, Special Branch DSP M Srinivasa Rao, CI S Kondala Rao, AR Additional SP M Mahesh Kumar, DSPs VS Vasan (AR), K Eswara Rao, Pydeswara Rao, Rajeswara AReddy, Ch Muralirksiha, S Venkiateswara Rao, T Prabhakara Babu, ATS Ravi Kumar, P Bhaskara Rao, Satyanarayana A Srinivasa Rao and N Muralikrishna attended the concluding session.
