Vizag secures first place in citizens feedback
The Visakhapatnam city stood in first place across the country in the citizens’ feedback for assessment of the best clean city in the country. The Central government is assessing the best clean city and ranking the cities by conducting Swachh Sarvekshan-2018 and Saturday is the last day to register their feedback on the civic authorities’ performance.

The Central government is assessing the best clean city and ranking the cities by conducting Swachh Sarvekshan-2018 and Saturday is the last day to register their feedback on the civic authorities’ performance.
During the survey, as many as 1.60 lakh citizens have called up the Swachh Sarvekshan organisers and given their feedback on the GVMC. During the past one year and particularly during the past three weeks, the Swachh ambassadors played a vital role promoting the GVMCs efforts to maintain the city as a clean and green and created awareness among the citizens to reveal their satisfaction over the maintenance of the city.
On the last day to register their voices, the GVMC organised a mega walk on the beach front on Saturday. While flagging off the walk, Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan expressed his happiness on massive response of the citizens.
He said that the GVMC is in the first place in all counts in the Swachh Sarvekshan-2018. During 2017 Swachh Sarvekshan, the GVMC gained third place in the country and in 2018 assessment, the GVMC is scoring big in all the parameters to stood in the first place.
Swachh Ambassadors Association Convener V Balamohan Das explained the efforts of the workers, officials and particularly the sanitation workers who rendered selfless service to transform the city into a clean city.
