Vijayawada: Irrigation Minister Devineni UmaMaheswara Rao praised PunakolluBhuvan Chandra, who secured all India first rank in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination here on Monday.

The GATE results were announced on March 17 and PunakolluBhuvan Chandra of Tippanagunta village of Krishna district secured first rank in aerospace engineering. Minister UmaMaheswara Rao felicitated Bhuvan Chandra with a shawl and a bouquet.

He along with his parents on an invitation from the minister met him at his office. Bhuvan Chandra pursued his B Tech from IIT Chennai. The minister said it was a great moment that students from Krishna district are excelling in all fields.

He assured his family members that he would take Bhuvan Chandra's achievement to the notice Chief Minister NChandrababu Naidu.Bhuvana Chandra said he wish to work for ISRO or DRDO after completing the M Tech. His parents Subba Rao, Roja Rani, and relative AVGoplaKrishna Rao were present.
