Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian has advised officials to take the grievances of the people seriously as hundreds are thronging to the ‘Mee Kosam’ every week. He observed that the people are coming to the district headquarters from distant villages as they are hopeful of redressal of their grievances. This hope and confidence should not be disappointed, he maintained.

The Collector asked officials to settle their grievance within a time frame and also inform the petitioners about the outcome and to spell out the reasons if a petition is rejected. He revealed that regional platforms are being created by organising 'Mee Kosam' at mandal and regional level.

From next week onwards in view of the simmering heat, the weekly grievance meeting is advanced to 9 am in the morning. As many as 128 petitions have been received from the general public.
