GITAM signs MoU with Red Hat Academy
GITAM University is establishing ‘GITAM Red Hat Academy’ to train the students enterprise-ready. For this, the university signed an MoU with the world reputed Red Hat Academy organisation here on Tuesday.
Visakhapatnam: GITAM University is establishing ‘GITAM Red Hat Academy’ to train the students enterprise-ready. For this, the university signed an MoU with the world reputed Red Hat Academy organisation here on Tuesday. Red Hat Academy is an open source, web-deployed and web-managed education programme that is designed to provide turnkey curriculum material to academic institutions to start and sustain an open source and Linux curriculum programme.
GITAM Institute of Technology Principal Prof K Lakshmiprasad and Red Hat Academy APAC Lead Shirish Pandey exchanged the MoU documents in the presence of GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof MS Prasada Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivaramakrishna and Head, Computer Science Engineering Department Prof K Thammi Reddy.
While signing the MoU Red Hat Academy APAC Lead Shirish Pandy said that Red Hat would help the students learn about Red Hat technologies and solutions and establish in-demand open source skills. He briefed that Red Hat Academy's web-based curriculum helps create competencies through hands-on, performance-based learning and testing.
