According to the Disaster Management officials in the state, the past 24 hours have witnessed a huge number of lightning strikes.
The count has reached to at least 41,025 places in 11 districts of the state.
Several North Coastal districts such as Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam are witnessing heavy rains along with gusty winds and lightning. AP has recorded over 36,000 lightning strikes last month with many even succumbing to death in the sudden rains.
