Man held for raping daughter

The Markapuram subdivision police arrested a man on Thursday night for raping his daughter. According to NV Ramanjaneyulu, Balamma of Tummala Bailu hamlet lodged a complaint with police stating that her husband Dasari Gurrayya raped her 10-year-old daughter on May 23 evening when the latter was alone at home.
Markapuram: The Markapuram subdivision police arrested a man on Thursday night for raping his daughter. According to NV Ramanjaneyulu, Balamma of Tummala Bailu hamlet lodged a complaint with police stating that her husband Dasari Gurrayya raped her 10-year-old daughter on May 23 evening when the latter was alone at home.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case 47/2018 under Section 376 of IPC and Sec 6 of POCSO Act 2012 and sent the victim for treatment to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Ongole. Immediately, launched a man-hunt and arrested the accused Gurrayya on Thursday night and sent him in remand on Friday.
