Two girls drown in check-dam

The girls, Indu,13 and Monisha, 7, daughters of Latha, 35, residing at Bommanapalli village, Yadamari mandal, 15 km from here, drowned in a check-dam on Friday.

According to police, the deceased went to swim in check-dam due to summer holidays to their school. However, both the girls went a little deep into check-dam and accidentally drowned.
They were studying 8th class and second class respectively. The girls father Doraswamy committed suicide two years ago due to mounting debt burden. Yadamari police registered a case and sent the bodies to Chittoor government hospital for post-mortem.
