Visakhapatnam: Students participated in a mega blood donation camp, which was organised to mark the World Blood Donor Day here on Thursday at GITAM Institute of Medical Science and Research (GIMSR) in association with The Hans India and HMTV.
GIMSR Hospital Medical superintendent Dr Shyama Prasad inaugurated the blood donation camp and thanked the media partner The Hans India and HMTV for providing a wide publicity on mega blood camp.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the day is observed at national and global level and also to commemorate the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner, a scientist, who won the Nobel Prize for his discovery of ABO blood group system.
