Vizianagaram: Andhra Pradesh Green Awards-2017, under AP Greening & Beautification Corporation, conferred second position to MVGR College of Engineering, here in the category of private colleges.
The prestigious award has been conferred in recognition of upkeep of campus by having green cover, ambience, ecosystem, use of renewable energy, architectural beauty and contributing in the field of greenery development.
It is significant to mention that the college has been developing sustainable energy sources like solar power, biogas, alternate energy sources and water harvesting system. As a result, the 60 acres campus is spread through serene spaces with lush green varieties of flora and fauna.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu presented the award and trophy to Dr KVL Raju, Principal, MVGR, at a ceremony held at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Nuzvid Campus recently. On the occasion, the management congratulated the administration team, faculty, students and non-teaching staff.
