Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner J Nivas along with Joint Collector Vijayakrishnan and Joint Collector -2 Babu Rao visited 9th division here on Friday.
They discussed about issuing pattas of 300 families residing in that area and obtained all the details from the officers.
The officers said that the residents were staying for the past 30 years and survey of the houses was done in the past.
The Joint Collector ordered the officers to provide enumeration details of the houses in that locality.
He further ordered the officials to provide infrastructural facilities to the residents of that area.
Later, they visited 15 houses of Armed Reserve Police on the canal bund. All the outlet of the household waste water was connected directly into the canal contaminating the canal water.
On observing it, the Commissioner ordered to enumerate the houses and take appropriate action to shift them.
City planer B Lakshman Rao, executive engineer Prabhakar and others were present.
