After long delay, Anna Canteen launch today

Chittoor: Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy to inaugurate the first Anna Canteen of the district on the Government ITI premises here on Sunday.
The opening of Anna Canteen was postponed from July 11 to August 12 due to delay in the construction of the building. Out of 17 Anna Canteens sanctioned to the district, it would be the first one and the rest are in different stages.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Saturday, Municipal Corporation of Chittoor Commissioner C Obulesh said that the Anna Canteen building was constructed at a cost of Rs 46 lakh.
“The state government sanctioned Rs 35 lakh and the rest would be borne by the Corporation,” he stated.
The civic body chief mentioned that building was constructed with central air-conditioning facility and food supply to Anna Canteen was entrusted to the Tirupati Abhaya Trust.
Breakfast and food would be available at Anna Canteen from 7 am to 7 pm, he disclosed.
