Atya Patya championship from tomorrow in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Atya Patya State Sub-Junior Chief Minister Cup Championship 2018 would be organised jointly by Andhra Pradesh Atya Patya Association (APAPA) and GoSports Management from September 7 to 9, said APAPA general secretary RD Prasad here on Wednesday.
The tournament will be inaugurated by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh chairman Ankamma Chowdary at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium.
Addressing the media, Prasad said that the state government was encouraging the rural sports.
He said that players from all the 13 districts will participate in the tournament.
About 300 players and 50 officials will participate in the three-day tournament.
Based on the performance of the players, state players will be selected after the tournament.
The selected players will participate in the National Championship which will be held from September 26 to 29 in Himachal Pradesh.
GoSports management CEO CR Mohan said that the winners will be given medals on September 9.
