Amaravati: BJP floor leader P Vishnukumar Raju took a strong exception to the criticism of Centre by members of the TDP. Participating in debate in the Assembly on various issues here on Monday, he said that the members of the TDP were blaming the Centre for all the issues without proper ground.

He wondered as to how the Centre was responsible for mistakes in various Bills which were sent by the State government. He asked the members of Telugu Desam as to how the Prime Minister would see and reject the Bills of Andhra Pradesh.

He requested the ruling party members not to blame the Prime Minister for every issue. Raising the issue of stray dog menace in the State, he asked the government to take stringent action in this regard.

Atchannaidu blames Centre for rejecting AP Maritime Board Bill-2018: Minister K Atchannaidu lambasted the Centre for rejecting the AP Maritime Board Bill several times. He introduced the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board Bill-2018 in the Assembly here on Monday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the State government sent the Bill to Centre three times in the past. But the Centre rejected the Bill by showing reasons like spelling mistakes. He wondered why the Centre rejected the important bill by showing silly reasons. He alleged that the Centre intentionally rejected the Bill.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a concern that AP would overtake Gujarat in development. The Minister pointed out that the Centre did not implement several issues mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act.

The State government felt that at least it could implement some development programmes after setting up Maritime Board, he explained. He requested the members of the BJP to extend cooperation for enactment of the Bill instead of criticising the State government.

MLA Bode asks govt to help ration dealers: MLA Bode Prasad asked the State government to increase the commissions of ration dealers. Speaking during the zero hour in AP Assembly on Monday, he said that the dealers were indulging in illegal procedures when there was no remuneration or profit for their service.

He said that the dealers were getting Rs 7,000 per month and they were spending the entire income for maintenance of depots. He asked the government to pay wages and ensure reasonable profit to them instead of conducting raids with vigilance officials.
