Tadipatri (Anantapur): With the announcement of the controversial god-man Prabhodananda Swamy that he would take a plunge into direct politics to take on the mighty JC Brothers, the clashes between the supporters of Swamy and the followers of JC Brothers is now taking a political turn.

It is learnt that Swamy's son Yogananda Chowdary is in touch with the YSRCP.

Recently, after the clashes took place, a delegation from the ashram met YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Visakhapatnam and reportedly sought party ticket for the Swamy's son.

The YSRCP President was told that they are willing to spend any amount of money to fight the electoral battle.

The Swamy sources say that the JC Brothers were coming in their way for their ashram development and hence they needed a political back up for the ashram's survival.

The Swamy's son had in the past joined BJP with lot of fanfare. The latest talk in the ashram and political circles was their inclination towards the YSRCP.

The Swamy reportedly feels that he needed political support in order to take on the mighty JC Brothers.

Meanwhile, the three-men committee appointed by District Collector Veera Pandian including Additional Joint Collector Subba Raju, RDO Malla and DSP Vijaya Kumar not only searched the ashram and made enquiries into their activities also spoke to the villagers of Peddapolamada and Chinapolamada and recorded their reactions on the clashes and the activities of the Swamy.

They reportedly spoke against the Swamy and demanded action against the controversial god-man.

Police stepped up patrolling and cordoned off the ashram area allowing none in the vicinity.

Local MLA Prabhakar Reddy refused to speak to the media nor comment on the Swamy's political ambition.
