Vijayawada: All the medical shops across the country will remain closed on September 28 in protest against the Central government move to favour online sale of medicines, said the Krishna District Chemists and Druggists Association (KDCDA) general secretary Dr PS Patnaik here on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Patnaik said there were various problems in online sale of medicines.

People would use excess medicines and fall prey for various health disorders, he said and added that youth would be addicted to ‘Habit Formation of Drugs’.

A poster was released on the occasion.

KDCDA members GR Gupta, K Pitchaiah, TV Satyanarayana, MSP Sudhakar and others were present.
