Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Workers Union state vice-president Kota Malyadri said that sanitation workers’ problems will be solved through agitations and stressed on unity among workers till they achieve their demands.
They burnt effigy of the government near GMC office here on Thursday to mount pressure on the government to solve their problems and opposed ‘anti-labour’ policies of the government.
Municipal workers JAC leader Somi Sankar Rao demanded that the government give Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to the worker who died in Prakasam district and allot a house site immediately.
Municipal Workers JAC leaders Aswni Kumar, Angadi Kishore, Boddu Srinu were present.
