Man held for molesting two minor girls

Nellore: Residents of Housing Board Colony apprehended a person late on Saturday who tried to molest two girls and handed him over to the police. According to police, Syed Hassan Basha of Gudur has been working as electrician and residing in the colony for last three years. His wife has been living separately as he used to harass her after marriage.
He has been closely moving with two families close to his house where two girls aged 7 and 8 years were living. He used to offer money and sweets during their festivals. On October 4, he invited the two girls into his house and tried to molest them. However, the girls revealed the incident to their parents. Since then, Basha has not been seen there.
On Saturday night, some neighbours observed that he was in the house and they caught hold of him and informed to the police on the incident. Police booked a case under POCSO Act on the complaint of the two family members.
